Illustrators Day

Today went to the 2009 Illustrators Day in San Gabriel, it was alot of fun! I am really glad i went. Got to see so many peoples artwork. So talented everyone is. It inspired me to fix up my portfolio and to find the time to continue working on my art. I think i am going to set deadlines for my own self. People brought business cards and postcards. I wish i brought more but my printer failed on me. Also had a one on one with an illustrator Wilson Swain who looked over my portfolio and gave me really good feedback. He gave me a mockup of one of his books, a pop up makes me want to try to make one :) A fun day today was and also got to see some of my classmates :) This was my postcard design.. for now still going to play around with it :)

hello. well lately haven't had much time to work on my art much. wish can stop time and just work on it! I need time to work on my book too! I have been working on it here and there.. my plan is to get it out soon before June is over at least! I think i need to give myself a deadline. but did some sketches of some critters.. and liked a few so thought illustrate them in color. simple but just a little quick thing :)

Froggies

This piece was for my Children Book class. We had to take a mother goose rhyme and illustrate it. The poem I chose was " This little froggy took a big leap, this little froggy took a small leap, this froggy leaped sideways and this little froggy not at all and this little froggy went hippity hippity hop all the way home! " It was fun doing it traditionally in watercolor and colorpencil :)
